Hello everyone! Welcome to the second MOTW! Have you stuck with me this far? Today we have some new artists that perhaps you've never heard of, and some ones that I'm sure you've heard of. Let's begin!
Monday: Ce Matin-Là (That Morning) by Air
This is a relaxing jazz piece. Not with saxophones though. With my favorite instrument, the french horn (which comes in around the 1 minute mark). This is not the normal genre you'd find from Air, however. They are a more techno style. Listen to the overlapping melodies in the horn, and let yourself wake up in the morning.
(Note: I couldn't find a decent youtube video, so here's something from Vimeo.)
Tuesday: Nyan Cat (Alex S. Dubstep Remix)
WHAT? DUBSTEP? Not exactly. There are only a couple dubstep songs I like. The reason I would like them is because they actually have a melody. Now, this song takes our favorite meme and combine it with somehing that actually has an addicting beat.
Wednesday: Fireflies by Ahmir
I told you you'd be seeing them again soon. More beautiful harmonies from Ahmir. I don't have much else to say about this song except that it's a beautiful cover of Owl City's song.
Thursday: Usher Acapella Medley - Jake Broido
I found this a couple weeks ago, and I was stunned by the amazing singing this man has. See for yourself.
Friday: Bring Me To Life - Evanescence
Evanescence's music is both haunting and beautiful. This song is one of my favorites of hers. The mystical quality she gives is not found in any other music I have listened to.
Saturday: Fortune Days by The Glitch Mob
A unique hybrid of orchestral and trance, this song is an intresting song to add to MOTW. Let's see what you think of it.
Sunday: Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall by Coldplay
Probably my favorite of their newest songs; sit back and take in all the symbolism and beautiful sounds as you drift away into another world...
Have a wonderful music-filled week!
